How to Report

Quick Report Options

In-Chat Reporting: 1. Click the three dots (⋮) on any message 2. Select “Report Message” 3. Choose violation type 4. Add context (optional but helpful) 5. Submit report
Screenshots are automatically captured with message reports
Knowingly filing false reports is a violation of our guidelines and may result in account action.

What to Include in Reports

Effective Reporting

Be Specific

Instead of: “User was mean” Try: “User called me [specific slurs] after losing match”

Provide Context

  • When did it happen? - What led to the incident? - Was it a one-time or repeated behavior? - Which game/mode were you playing?

Include Evidence

  • Screenshots of chat - Video clips - Voice recording (if available) - Match IDs - Timestamps

Stay Factual

  • Report what happened - Avoid assumptions about intent - Don’t exaggerate - Be honest about your role

Investigation Timeline

Step 1: Initial Review (0-2 hours) - AI scans for immediate threats - Urgent issues escalated - Automatic actions for clear violations Step 2: Human Review (2-24 hours) - Moderator investigates - Context examined - Evidence verified - History checked Step 3: Action Decision (24-48 hours)
  • Appropriate action determined - User notified - Report resolved - Follow-up if needed

Moderation Actions

First-Time/Minor Violations: - Educational warning - Reminder of guidelines - No restrictions - Noted on record Users can receive 2 warnings

After You Report

What Happens Next

You’ll receive: - Report ID number - Confirmation email - Estimated timeline

Resolution

You’ll be notified: - Action was taken (no specifics) - Case closed - Any follow-up needed
We don’t share specific punishments to protect user privacy and prevent retaliation

Checking Report Status

View your reports:
  1. Go to Settings → Safety
  2. Click “My Reports”
  3. See status of each report
  4. View resolution notices

Emergency Situations

Immediate Action Needed

For real-world emergencies, contact local law enforcement immediately - don’t wait for platform response
Urgent Reports:

  • Include all relevant information
  • We respond within 2 hours
Situations Requiring Urgent Report:

Appeals Process

If You’re Reported

Receive Action

You’ll get: - Email notification - Reason for action - Duration (if temporary) - Appeal instructions

Submit Appeal

Appeals must include: - Ticket number - Your explanation - Any evidence - Why action was wrong

Appeal Guidelines

Do:
  • Be respectful and professional
  • Provide new information
  • Admit mistakes if applicable
  • Explain misunderstandings
  • Show you understand guidelines
Don’t:
  • Submit multiple appeals
  • Threaten or insult staff
  • Deny clear evidence
  • Create new accounts
  • Have others appeal for you
Appeals are reviewed by senior moderators not involved in original decision

False Reporting
